General Job Summary:

This is a seasonal temporary full-time position located on the Emmetsburg or Estherville Campus. Possess skills in one or more specific trade areas required but will be primarily engaged in duties related to maintaining lawns and landscaping, including planting, fertilizing, weeding, soil conditioning, mulching, and applying herbicides and pesticides, operating and maintaining lawn and landscaping equipment. Employee will also be required to perform custodial or janitorial duties as directed by the Facilities Manager. Requires early morning responsibilities. Job duties may be performed at all campuses and in all buildings or facilities. Computer skills are beneficial. Must complete Bloodborne Pathogens Training due to potential exposure to blood or body fluids while performing cleaning duties. Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record, and provide proof of insurance.

Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalency required. Education, training, or experience in skilled groundskeeping areas sufficient to function independently in diagnosing problems, making repairs, or replacement is required. Custodial or housekeeping experience helpful. Must have valid driver’s license.

Salary:  $15.00 per hour
