General Job Summary:

This is a full-time position based on the Emmetsburg Campus with travel to other campuses as needed. Primary responsibilities are to determine training and education needs of acute and long-term health providers and offer certification programs for individuals interested in working in the health care field. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and work with minimal supervision. The Healthcare Training Consultant/Programmer will schedule and promote licensure and re-licensure (CEHs) programs and short-term training programs specifically for business and industry in Allied Health based on demand from regional employment needs. This position may require some evening and weekend hours, and occasional overnight travel. This position may also include occasional teaching of classes when needed. Required to travel utilizing personal vehicle.


Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without Employer Sponsorship.


Minimum Qualifications:

Registered Nurse with two or more years of experience including at least one year in long-term healthcare required. Knowledge of current healthcare issues, policies, practices, and procedures are required. Teaching experience preferred. Train the Trainer Certification required, or willingness to obtain upon hire.


Salary:  $56,135
