General Job Summary:

This is a full-time position located on the Estherville Campus. The Aviation Ground School Instructor is responsible for conducting ground training, overseeing student activities and other duties as assigned by the Director of Aviation Program / Chief Flight Instructor. May be required to travel utilizing personal vehicle. Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and provide proof of insurance.

Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

FAA Advanced Ground Instructor, Instrument (AGII) certification

FAA Part 107 Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems certification

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

Preferred Additional Requirements:

FAA Certified Flight Instructor certificate with Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings

Project management training and/or experience

Salary: Commensurate with education and related experience with 213-day contract.
