Located right on the shore of East Lake Okoboji, our beautiful condo resort with outdoor pools, amazing facilities, and Indoor Waterpark make Bridges Bay the most complete resort destination at Iowa's Great Lakes!

This is a full time, salaried role. Applicants must be available to work weekend shifts and must be willing to work on holidays if needed. This is the primary manager for a 24 hour a day, 365 day a year department. Availability for all shifts is required, including the potential for overnight. The types of shifts you end up working will be highly dependent on your ability to attract, lead and retain a strong and capable team.

Department supervisory or management experience in a hotel setting is required. Candidates who have not held down a job consistently and/or have no supervisory or management experience in a guest service setting will not be considered.

A friendly, clear phone voice and in person voice is necessary. This role involves standing upright for the duration of the shift. A clean and professional appearance is necessary as well - this is a leadership role - business oriented appearance and attire will be expected.

Primary duties of this role include answering telephones, making/editing hotel reservations, providing general information about the hotel facilities and the community to guests/callers, Welcoming and registering guests into the hotel, providing farewell wishes to guests departing the hotel, communicating clearly with other hotel departments, and intermittently running request items to guestrooms. Department scheduling, team member training, planning of resources, maintaining proper staffing levels, managing inventory and yield controls for rates, attending virtual revenue optimization calls weekly, attending manager meetings weekly are all duties typical of the department leader.

This is the primary leader of the front office/reception department, as a result, organizational skills and team building skills will be necessary for success. Leadership qualities are of utmost importance as well as the ability to continually set a proper, professional example for the entire team.
